Daily lunches

Lunch will be served from Wednesday 23 – Thursday 24 August in the trade exhibition area and in the Ballroom 1 foyer on Friday 25 August. Lunches are included for fulltime delegates.
Additional tickets may be purchased for AU$35 – please contact the Congress registration desk.

Delegates who have previously advised special dietary requirements should identify themselves to the wait-staff.

Meet fellow delegates and be captivated by some of Queensland’s finest young performers while enjoying Queensland’s renowned friendly hospitality over drinks and canapés. The Congress will be officially opened by The Honourable Anna Bligh MP, Deputy Premier, Treasurer and Minister for State Development, Trade and Innovation. The remainder of the evening is free for you to explore the delights of Brisbane.

Your Welcome Reception admission ticket is located with your namebadge and is required for entry to the function.

Congress Dinner

The Congress Dinner will undoubtedly be the social highlight of the Congress. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner and fabulous entertainment, including Adam Spencer, whose outstanding achievements include being voted as Best Speaker in the World at the World University Debating Championships, before dancing the night away to the sounds of Odyssey. The Congress Dinner is an optional activity at additional cost.

Dress: Lounge suit or cocktail attire
A limited number of tickets are available for purchase until Wednesday 23 August at 1100 hours. Tickets: AU$110 per person (optional function at additional cost)

For those attending the dinner, your dinner ticket is located with your namebadge and is required for entry to the function.

Social Function Cancellation Policy

Where additional tickets have been purchased for social functions, ticket cancellations cannot be refunded if participation is cancelled less than 48 hours prior to the event. No refunds are available for included social functions which are not attended.

The organisers reserve the right to cancel or vary optional social activities if minimum numbers are not reached.
